SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM ADVISORY 

The PotashCorp REACH in the Parks program will be providing daily lunches for the City of Regina’s PlayEscapes sites from July 8 to August 16, 2013 to the locations listed below. The lunches will be made by the Heritage Community Association and The Regina Food Bank will be assisting with deliveries. As in previous years, this is a replacement lunch program for the regular school lunch program in these neighbourhoods. Lunches are available for kids and youth under the age of 15. Those who want to participate in the lunch program need to arrive before 12 p.m. to their chosen site.

PLAYESCAPES: Albert Scott Community Centre, Argyle Park Community Centre,  Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre, Glencairn Neighbourhood Recreation Centre, Imperial Community School, Rosemont Community School, Ruth M. Buck School, South Leisure Centre, W.F. Ready School.

The Salvation Army will be providing snacks every day to the following PlayEscapes sites: Eastview Community Centre, M.J. Coldwell School, Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre, Coronation Park Community School and W.H. Ford School. The Salvation Army will also be providing lunches on a rotating basis to the following pools: Maple Leaf, Regent and Dewdney

REACH (Regina Education and Action on Child Hunger) and the Heritage Community Association will also be providing daily lunches to Lighthouse Tabernacle. Those interested in receiving lunches at that site should contact Lighthouse Tabernacle directly.

Additionally, REACH will be providing daily lunches to the YMCA Ta-Wa-Si Recreation Sites at the following locations: Thomson Community School, Kitchener Community School and Albert Community School. Those who wish to participate in these programs will need to contact the YMCA for more details.

REACH serves as an umbrella association for a wide range of healthy food programs, delivered through 150 partners, including a variety of organizations and schools, to ensure all people in our community have access to safe, affordable and nutritious food.
