Art Park Transformed

ArtParkJune2013-CUETS-2

Volunteers from CUETS Financial/TD Canada Trust descended on the Heritage Art Park on June 21, 2013 for a gardening blitz. After a full day of  hard work cleaning and weeding, the Art Park has never looked better, and is ready to be enjoyed by residents for the rest of the season.

CUETS/TD has been an active supporter of the Art Park over the last several years, with volunteers visiting regularly to help maintain and develop the unique green space.

This year, the volunteers helped to prepare the site for new plantings, which include a variety of native and cold-hardy fruits, such as Saskatoons, grapes, prairie cherries, and haskap. These new plants were made possible through a grant from the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

The Art Park, located at the corner of 11th Avenue and Halifax St, is an oasis in the city, featuring a wide range of native, edible, and ornamental plants. For more information about the Art Park and how to get involved, contact HCA!

Thank you again to CUETS Financial/TD Canada Trust and to the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for your continued support!
