Let’s Move (formerly Girls On The Move and Boys Movin’ On Up) is a weekly after-school program that provides opportunities for fun physical activity to youth ages 9 to 14. With a focus on play, this program supports young people in improving their physical fitness, building their self-confidence, and developing healthy relationships.
Who: anyone ages 9 to 14 (groups are no longer divided by gender, but by age)
What: Youth participate in a variety of activities ranging from swimming to bowling, and from basketball to laser tag.
Where: Groups meet at Thomson Community School (Toronto Street at Victoria Avenue) and are transported by program facilitators to activity locations as needed.
When: Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, Oct. 23 2018 to Feb. 18 2019 (except school holidays)
Why: To increase physical fitness, self-confidence, and relationship skills. To provide a safe opportunity for fun physical activities to youth in the Heritage community.
