Heritage Community Gardens

The community gardens are part of our initiative to address food insecurity, but serve as so much more. In addition to providing nutritious, locally grown produce to Heritage residents, the gardens are a source of education about gardening in a southern Saskatchewan climate. As our community emerges from the pandemic and seeks to re-connect, the gardens will provide a safe space for Heritage residents to build connections and strengthen the culture of mutual care in our community.

With the guidance of a local Elder, the gardens will also help restore connection to medicine, food, and land for Indigenous residents of Heritage!

HCA would like to extend a huge thank you to our sponsors for making this space a reality:

  • City of Regina
  • Affinity Credit Union
  • Regina Horticultural Society
  • National Crane Service

Thank you to the amazing volunteers who have been helping us with maintenance and harvest this year — your help has been greatly appreciated!
Thank you Affinity Credit Union for sponsoring the Heritage Produce Pantry — the pantry is located in our community gardens and everyone is welcome to ‘Take what you need, and Leave what you can!’
