Heritage Kids Cook

Heritage Kids Cook is a educational cooking program designed to teach young students essential cookingCooking Class Grocery Store and shopping skills!

With an emphasis on healthy eating, students will learn how to navigate the kitchen, how to create and follow recipes, and how to shop for groceries.


Fall 2016 Class Details

BEGINNERS
(for students who have never taken a cooking class before)

Dates: Sept. 12 – Oct. 31 (excluding Oct. 10)

Ages: Kids living in the Heritage neighbourhood, ages 9-12

When: Mondays, 3:30 – 5pm

Where: Thomson Community School Kitchen & 1 field trip to a local grocery store

Cost: Free

Registration is done on a first-come basis.

ADVANCED
(for students who have taken at least one cooking class before)

Dates: Nov. 7 – Dec. 19

Ages: Kids living in the Heritage neighbourhood, ages 9-12

When: Mondays, 3:30 – 5pm

Where: Thomson Community School Kitchen & 1 field trip to a local grocery store

Cost: Free
