Programs & Services

The Heritage Community Association offer a variety of programs and services to Heritage residents. Our focus is on community engagement, children and youth, neighbourhood revitalization, and support to our most vulnerable citizens.

After-school Programs

Girls On the Move
This weekly after-school program provides opportunities for fun physical activity to girls ages 9 to 14. With a focus on on play, On the Move supports girls in improving their physical fitness, building their self-confidence, and developing healthy relationships.

Our next On the Move program will run on Wednesdays for 12 weeks, starting September 18, 2013 and running to December 4, 2013. Pre-registration is required. To register please call (306) 757-9952 or email heritagecommunity@sasktel.net. There is no cost to program, however participant families must be members of HCA ($5 for school year).

Boys Movin’ On Up
This weekly after-school program provides opportunities for fun physical activity to boys ages 9 to 14. With a focus on on play, Movin’ On Up supports boys in improving their physical fitness, building their self-confidence, and developing healthy relationships.

Lunch Programs

Thomson School Lunch Program
HCA partners with Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Church to offer nutritious lunches to Thomson School students in need every Tuesday and Thursday during the school year. Children return to school nourished and better able to learn. 

Thank you to our project funder REACH, to the dedicated volunteer coordinators at Holy Spirit, and to the volunteers from Service Canada and Scotia McLeod for making this program possible.

REACH Into Parks
In partnership with REACH, HCA prepares and delivers nutritious bagged lunches to children participating in the City of Regina’s free Play Escapes program in July and August.

Recreational Programs

Central Zone Outdoor Soccer

On behalf of the Central Zone Board, HCA offers a six-week outdoor soccer program for children ages 4 to 15. Our current soccer program runs from May 14, 2013 to June 20, 2013, with a season wind-up tournament held on Saturday June 22, 2013. 

Central Zone Indoor Soccer

On behalf of the Central Zone Board, HCA offers indoor soccer at the Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre from October to March.

Central Zone T-Ball
On behalf of the Central Zone Board, HCA offers T-ball at the Eastview Community Centre from September to February.

Bellyfit
Holistic fitness system for women with dance cardio moves inspired by belly dancing, Bollywood and African dance with Pilates and yoga.
