Heritage Community Playground Revitalization
Core Community Park (2013) & Maple Leaf Park (2014)
In 2011 HCA undertook the Heritage Neighbourhood Child & Youth Needs Assessment as a way to assist us in establishing priorities and planning programs and services with the dual focus of crime prevention and addressing youth needs.

Core Community Park – Construction of new playground (October 2013)
Through the Needs Assessment it became clear that Core Community and Maple Leafs Parks are two important community resources that need to be maintained and further developed. As such, HCA has undertaken a two stage process of playground revitalization for both parks.
With the support of many organizations and in partnership with the City of Regina, HCA installed a new playground in Core Community Park in October 2013. We will continue to fundraise throughout this year with the goal of achieving the next phase of the project: the replacement of Maple Leaf Park playground in 2014.
