The Thomson School Lunch Program provides nutritious meals to Thomson Community School children in need twice per week.

Who: Thomson Community School students

What: HCA partners with the Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Church to provide nutritious lunches twice per week.

Where: Students walk from Thomson to Descent of the Holy Spirit (12th Avenue at Toronto Street), where lunch is served.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year.

Why: To improve the nutrition of children so that they are able to concentrate better and succeed at school.

How: To register please contact Thomson Community School. There is no cost to this program.

Our 2012/2013 program was made possible through funding from REACH, and through the generous support of the volunteer coordinators at Descent of the Holy Spirit and volunteers from Service Canada and Scotia McLeod.
