Heritage Heirlooms

The Heritage Heirlooms is a new initiative to the Heritage Community Association for 2023 that is dedicated to supporting the older adults in our neighbourhood.

During the pandemic and our DIY Meal Kit deliveries, it became very apparent that many of the seniors in our community were struggling. These doorstep conversations shed light on the immense loneliness, isolation, and need for human contact that these seniors were facing — on top of the barriers to having their basic needs met.

Through Heritage Heirlooms, participants can register for drop-in activities that promote living active and fulfilling lives within the Heritage Community. These activities offer intergenerational opportunities for seniors to connect, share their experiences, and build social ties that extend beyond the program.
